Endometriosis

Endometriosis is when tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows in other areas of the body where it doesn’t belong. It is an inflammatory disorder which means that the immune system attacks your body’s own cells or tissues, resulting in pain, redness, swelling, stiffness and damage to body tissues. Endometriosis can be an extremely painful and debilitating disease when not properly managed.
